About Us

Control Electronics Ltd is a New Zealand based company with many years involvement in the Hydro Power industry, our Senior Engineer having over 40 years’ experience in this field.    Much of our early work involved replacing old mechanical governors with custom designed and built electronic governors and machine controllers for a large number of Hydro Power Stations around New Zealand, as well as Australia and the wider Pacific region. These control systems, our “RIVERMASTER” governor, have now been installed and running successfully for a combined total of more than 800 000 hours over the different plants.  In each case the Power Stations have been made more productive and cost-efficient, much more reliable in operation and in most cases building in the convenience of being able to be remotely controlled.

Control Electronics is also involved in providing automation solutions for a number of different applications in other industries; we have provided custom control systems for the mining industry in the control and monitoring of gas extraction, as well as controllers for water gates on reservoirs and water races.  

Control Electronics is also a Schneider Electric Alliance System Integrator. This allows us to provide the best automation solutions with a greater level of support as well as providing the customer with a higher level of assurance of Control Electronics' expertise and abilities.
